The hardest thing for me to do is write about myself...

--Which is odd considering the fact that I am currently crafting a memoir-- but I'll try.

My name is Monica K. (last name changes pretty often so we'll leave it off), and I am a writer.  I'm also a womanist scholar, a historian, and a sociologist. I speak for me..sometimes the trees, but if you can get something from it, be my guest.

Some of the things I write will be light-hearted--Hemingway encouraged us to write drunk--some will be heavy, and others will be commentary on society.   

I hope you enjoy.  If you don't, please pretend you do because I am now (officially) an artist, and I'm sensitive about my sh*t.
